Before you start

Preparing remote access

By default, the controller is operated from a second device via RustDesk. With the optional 10″ touch monitor, it can be operated directly at the controller.

  • 01PC, laptop or tablet with internet access
  • 02RustDesk installed
  • 03Device data sheet from the box

The way to operation

Five stages until the miners are running

  1. 01Start the controller

Connect, switch on, wait for it to boot.

  2. 02Log in

Connect to the controller via RustDesk, then log in to HashLink.

  3. 03EMS & miners

Connect the EMS first, then add the miners.

  4. 04Activate a profile

Set the rules and switch on automatic mode.

  5. 05Miners running

A green status confirms automatic operation.

01 · Connecting

Connecting the controller

Before installation, check that all ordered components are present and undamaged.

Scope of delivery

Report missing or damaged components to HASHLYNK before installation. Wall mounting is described in the full manual.

  1. 01

Connect the power supply to the controller

Plug the DC connector into the supply socket on the back.

  2. 02

    Connect to mains power

Plug the power supply into an earthed socket in the same room.

  3. 03

    Connect the network

Plug an Ethernet cable, at least Cat 5e, into the RJ45 LAN port.

  4. 04

    Optionally connect the touch monitor

For local operation, connect HDMI and USB to the controller.

  5. 05

    Switch on the controller

Press the power button on the back and wait about 60 seconds until the status LED stays lit.

02 · Commissioning

RustDesk access and the HashLink login are two separate steps. After that, the EMS is configured first, then the miners.

01

Switch on the controller

Press the power button. Wait for the boot process until the status LED stays lit. This takes about 60 seconds.

02

Connect to the controller with RustDesk

Open RustDesk on the second device. First enter the RustDesk ID from the device data sheet under “Control remote desktop” and connect. As soon as the controller’s desktop appears, enter the RustDesk password.

Important: These details establish the connection to the controller. The login to the HashLink interface only follows in the next step.

03

Once RustDesk is connected, the HashLink login screen is open. Log in with User / 1234. Change the username and password straight away.

04

Configure the EMS

SettingsSystem settingsEMS configuration

In the taskbar, open the slider icon and select the matching energy management system under System settings. Then enter the IP address and port.

Finding the IP address and port: The IP is usually listed in the router under connected devices or DHCP leases, or directly in the network settings of the EMS. Take the port from the manufacturer's integration or Modbus TCP documentation; it is often 502, but not for every system. The controller and the EMS must be in the same local network.

Your EMS is not on the list? Contact HASHLYNK support at office@hashlynk.at.

05

Add miners

SettingsSystem settingsMiner configuration

After the EMS configuration, scroll down to the miner configuration and select Add miner. Then enter the name, username, IP address, port, password and the preset that matches the firmware.

Finding the miner details: The IP address is usually listed in the router under connected devices or DHCP leases, or in the miner's web interface. Take the username, password and API port from the device or firmware documentation. The preset must match the installed firmware; the controller and the miners must be in the same local network.

Tip: Give every miner a unique name. Only adjust power limits and priority if the chosen operating profile needs them.

06

Set up an operating profile and day plan

SchedulerProfileDay planActivate

First create the operating profile, then create a day plan with a time window and finally select it as the active schedule.

Scheduler

Planning operating times

For a routine that stays the same, a day plan is enough. A week plan is optional and only needed if different profiles or day plans should apply on different weekdays.

  1. 01

    Use the day plan directly

If the same routine applies every day, select the day plan you created directly as the active schedule.

  2. 02

    Optionally create a week plan

Create and name a week plan under Scheduler › Manage week plans.

  3. 03

    Assign the weekdays

Assign a profile or a day plan to each day, save and then activate the week plan.

Without an active schedule or an assigned profile, HashLink stays in standby.
